Kerry’s qualified
I’d like to comment on your editorial concerning Sen. John Kerry’s
ability to represent Massachusetts during Sen. Ted Kennedy’s illness
(“Mending fences in Mass.,” June 10).
I’m confident Kerry will continue his contributions and fully represent
us. Kerry has been a champ for Boston, attracting millions of dollars
and jobs to Massachusetts and serving on influential committees,
including chair of the Small Business Committee. Recently Kerry secured
federal funding to extend intelligence analysts’ positions in the
Boston Regional Intelligence Center. This unit is essential to regional
homeland security.
This is only one of many examples of the vital work that Kerry does
every day. I am grateful for his efforts, strong leadership and
effective voice.

Boston police commissioner
